2017 Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid
Last month I met up with some of my girlfriends from college. We all flew in from different places, California, Maryland and North Carolina. We’ve been friends since 2007. This was the year we became sorority sisters through Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Since then, we’ve all kept in touch. We once traveled the great state of California together from top to bottom, literally. This time, we wanted to do something different. Very, different.
We all agreed that we wanted to try Glamping. Glam…camping. And that, we did. We also wanted to go somewhere we all have never been before, so we came up with Colorado. We each flew into Denver where we stayed one night. The next morning, we got up and hopped in the car and started our road trip.
FEATURED TRIM $36,325...MSRP $30,520
To get us to each destination, we drove the new 2017 Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid. Driving this car enhanced our road trip experience. Ok, well, it spoiled us. With features such as voice activated touchscreen navigation system and the Sync 3 feature, we were good to go! I didn’t have to worry about being distracted by my phone or trying to find music to listen to when my co-pilot fell asleep. By simply connecting my phone and making voice commands, I was good to go!
One of the many features we loved was the auto start-stop technology. I have to admit, it through me off initially. The car was SO quiet during start up. This feature automatically turns off the car at stops, while keeping on the a/c and radio. (This is to reduce vehicle emissions.) Another unique feature was the new rotary gear! Its a shift dial instead of the standard lever. I noticed that this design was seamless, and allowed more room for other things in the middle console area. The last feature that came in handy was the alert I got when the car sensed that I needed some rest. A symbol of a coffee mug would come up on the digital Dash Board suggesting that I refresh. I will mention that this popped up after a few route changes when we thought we were lost.
We first drove an hour out from Denver to Colorado Springs to see the Garden of the Gods. We were weary about traveling out of the way from our destination, but I’m so glad we did. Next, we continued our trek to Moffat, CO which was a three hour drive. While long, it was beautiful. Very scenic. I saw the most picturesque roads, streams, mountains.
Finally, we arrived to our home for the weekend. A 1983 vintage Airstream. This Airstream was listed on Airbnb. You can find the link HERE. Now, it wasn’t anything fancy, but it had running water, a toilet, three beds an oven, fridge and microwave. The setting of it all was the kicker for me. The Airstream was in the middle of the valley, surrounded my fresh sage, wild rabbits, and a backdrop made of reclaimed wood that says LOVE, which the owner made.
Colorado was absolutely gorgeous. God’s creativity is displayed all over that state. And I’m super grateful to have had the 2017 Ford Fusion to get us all around the beautiful state of Colorado!
